Although Ontarians are worried about paying for housing and groceries in this post-pandemic period, a strong majority still think arts are very important (40%) or somewhat important (40%) to improve their quality of life and their mental health (41% very important, 38% somewhat important). Additionally,  Over eight in ten say it is very important (45%) or somewhat important (40%) for improving their community’s quality of life.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) hybrid telephone and online random survey of 1,000 Ontarians, 18 years of age or older, between February 26th and March 2nd, 2023, as part of an omnibus survey.

The research was commissioned by the Ontario Arts Council and was conducted by Nanos Research.
