Canadians are divided when it comes to the future of Canada-India trade with no majority opinion on what should be Canada’s long-term strategy. One third say Canada should keep trade levels with India about the same as they are now, while one in four prefer we increase trade, and close to one in five prefer Canada decrease trade with India. One quarter are unsure.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) hybrid telephone and online random survey of 1,058 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, between October 1st to 4th, 2023, as part of an omnibus survey. The margin of error for this survey is ±3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
