Over eight in ten Canadians say they are open (58%) or somewhat open (27%) to installing renewable energy generating devices on or in their home. Residents of Atlantic Canada are more likely to be open or somewhat open (96%) than residents of the prairies (74%).
Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land-and cell-lines) hybrid telephone and online random survey of 1,069 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, between March 31st and April 1st, 2024, as part of an omnibus survey. The margin of error for this survey is ± 3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
The research was commissioned by Schneider Electric and was conducted by Nanos Research.
