All indicators in the Bloomberg Nanos Index showed negative pressure. The biggest drop in sentiment had to do with the proportion of Canadians who thought the economy would get stronger in the next six months.  This declined from 27 to 15 per cent over the past four weeks.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,025 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending April 3rd, 2026. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,025 Canadians is ±3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research.
