Consumer confidence nationally remains mired in neutral. Of note, Ontarians have the most negative consumer confidence followed by British Columbians. Confidence in those two provinces is the most negative.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,059 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending January 2nd, 2026. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,059 Canadians is ±3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research.
