Canadian consumer confidence continues to trend marginally below the 50 points on the 100-point diffusion index. Canadians are four times more likely to think the economy will get weaker rather than stronger in the next six months.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,102 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending November 17th, 2023. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,102 Canadians is ±3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research.
