Majority of London and St. Thomas residents support converting vacant commercial or office buildings in downtown into rental housing.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) random telephone survey of 411 residents of the City of London and 306 residents of the City of St. Thomas, 18 years of age or older, between August 2nd and 5th, 2023. Participants were randomly recruited by telephone using live agents and administered a survey.

The margin of error for a random survey of 411 residents of London is ±4.9 percentage points, 19 times out of 20 and the margin of error for a random survey of 306 residents of St. Thomas is ±5.7 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

The research was commissioned by the Ontario Real Estate Association and the London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors and was conducted by Nanos Research.
