The proportion of Canadians who report that their mental health is better (seven per cent) or somewhat better (10%) now compared to before the pandemic has remained steady since last year. While the proportion who say it is about the same (53%) has remained comparable to that of last year (51% in 2024), it has slightly increased compared to the 2023 wave (44% in 2023). Younger Canadians (18 to 34) are significantly more likely to say their mental health has worsened or somewhat worsened (39%) compared to Canadians aged 55 and above (22%).

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) hybrid telephone and online random survey of 1,055 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, between May 5th to 8th, 2025 as part of an omnibus survey.

The research was commissioned and conducted by Nanos Research.
