Consumer confidence weakened in Canada coming out of the US election. The proportion of Canadians who think the economy will strengthen in the next six months has declined compared to four weeks ago.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,055 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending November 8th, 2024. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,055 Canadians is ±3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research.
