Niagara residents gave the highest ratings to their region as a place to raise a family (St. Catharines: mean of 7.1 out of 10, Niagara Falls: mean of 7.1 out of 10, rest of the Niagara Region: 7.6 out of 10) and as a safe place to live (St. Catharines: mean of 6.7, Niagara Falls: mean of 7.1; rest of the Niagara Region: 7.1 out of 10). They give their lowest ratings to their region being a place where one can afford to buy a home (St. Catharines: mean of 4.4 out of 10, Niagara Falls: mean of 4.7 out of 10, rest of the Niagara Region: 4.2 out of 10).

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) random telephone survey of 700 residents of the Niagara region (n=143 in Niagara Falls, n=200 in St. Catharines and n=357 in the Niagara region), 18 years of age or older, between October 3rd and 21st, 2024.

The margin of error for this survey is ±3.7 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
