After skirting into negative territory at the tail end of 2023, consumer confidence in Canada is in a positive zone. Factoring the past projective performance of the index this suggests a flat or marginally negative first part of 2024 followed by an improvement in the second part of the year.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,035 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending January 26th, 2024. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,035 Canadians is ±3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research.
