Canadian confidence held its score since the last wave of tracking, with the Bloomberg Nanos Canadian Confidence Index at 51.80. Views on personal finances and job security were stronger, reflected in a Pocketbook Index score of 54.83. Expectations for the economy and housing were weaker, leaving the Expectations Index at 48.76 and below the neutral 50-point mark.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,020 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending September 4, 2026. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,020 Canadians is ±3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research.
