The Bloomberg Nanos Canadian Confidence Index moved to 53.0 from 52.65 four weeks earlier, reflecting modest gains in both household and economic sentiment. The change was driven by the Pocketbook Index, which measures views on personal finances and job security, going from 54.20 to 54.70, while the Expectations Index, which tracks perceptions of the economy and housing, went from 51.10 to 51.31. Together, the results point to slightly firmer confidence, with both sub-indices remaining in positive territory.
