Canadian consumer confidence eased this week, with the Bloomberg Nanos Canadian Confidence Index declining to 51.43 from 52.65 the previous week. The index remains below its 2026 high of 54.19 and well below the peak recorded in 2021.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,022 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending July 17th, 2026. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,22 Canadians is ±3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research.
