The research gauged the opinion of Canadians on defence and security partnerships, trade diversification, and global affairs.

Nanos conducted a representative non-probability online survey of 1532 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, from May 1st to May 5th, 2026. The sample is geographically stratified to be representative of Canada.

A margin of error cannot be calculated on a non-probability sample.  For comparison purposes, a probability sample of 1532 respondents would have a margin of error of ±2.5 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

This study was commissioned by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the research was conducted by Nanos Research.
