The research gauged the opinions among residents of Nova Scotia on a proposed energy project that would build wind turbines out in the water offshore of the Province of Nova Scotia.
Nanos conducted an online non-probability representative survey of 402 Nova Scotians, 18 years of age or older, from February 11th to February 22nd, 2026. The results were statistically checked and weighted by age and gender using the latest Census information and the sample is geographically stratified to be representative of Nova Scotia.
A margin of error cannot be calculated on a non-probability sample. For comparison purposes, a probability sample of 402 respondents would have a margin of error of ±4.9 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
The research was commissioned by the Nova Scotia Fisheries Alliance for Energy Engagement and was conducted by Nanos Research.
