Consistent with previous waves, Americans give the highest favourability scores to Greece as a place of interesting history (mean of 8.7) and Greece as a place of natural beauty (mean of 8.5).

The biggest gains since 2013 are in favourability (score 8-10 out of 10) of Greece as a safe place to visit (42%, from 34% in 2013) and as a NATO ally to the US (43%, from 35% in 2013).

The Hellenic Republic composite index has reached 73.1 out of 100, which is an all time high since tracking started in 2013.

Nanos conducted an online non-probability survey of 1,269 Americans, representative of the US population, 18 years of age or older, between August 5th to 10th, 2023.  The results were statistically checked and weighted using the latest Census information and the sample is geographically stratified to be representative of the American population.

The research was commissioned and conducted by Nanos Research.
