While the close of 2022 Canadian consumer confidence was clearly in negative territory with a score of 45 points on the 100 point diffusion index that tracks sentiment, 2023 is closing out with neutral consumer confidence.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) telephone random survey of 1,057 respondents in Canada. This report is based on the four waves of tracking ending December 22nd, 2023. The margin of error for a random survey of 1,057 Canadians is ±3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. The research was commissioned by the Bloomberg and was conducted by Nanos Research
