Canadians are divided on how to fund NATO defense spending target (Bloomberg/Nanos)

Canadians are divided on how to fund NATO defense spending target with 26% who think that the Government should not increase the budget for defense, 22% who think the Government should cut spending on Social programs and 13% are unsure.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame (land- and cell-lines) hybrid telephone and online random survey of 1043 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, between May 31st and June 2nd, 2024 as part of an omnibus survey.

The margin of error for this survey is ±3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

The research was commissioned by Bloomberg News and was conducted by Nanos Research.
